569 Improving the Urology Post Take Ward Round with Best Clinical Practice and A Governance Checklist. Quality Improvement Project Within Belfast Health and Social Care Trust 2020

Abstract Introduction The post take ward round (PTWR) is a vital element to ensure patient safety. Although well established as necessity, often documentation poor and does not accurately reflect clinical assessment or generated management plan. This quality improvement project aimed assess the pitfalls of PTWR improve these were possible in-line with best practice. Method Audit standards using national guidelines, including those by Royal College Physicians, Surgeons, GAIN guidelines NICE. An initial audit was carried out against guidelines. Following this, three distinct interventions implemented namely, Junior Doctor Education Sessions, Urology Consultant Email Circular, development Checklist. After each intervention, re-audit out. Results Compliance improved across all set. Overall compliance from 19.0% 70.4% after our implemented. Conclusions results outlined that very severely lacking. Fortunately, this QIP demonstrates how urology can be significantly relatively simple measures.
